Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Part-Time or Contract Architect to collaborate with our team on residential remodeling projects throughout Greater Cincinnati.
The ideal candidate has experience in residential architecture, understands the challenges of working within existing structures, and can translate homeowners' visions into practical, well-designed spaces.
This position offers flexible scheduling and project-based opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop architectural plans, drawings, and design concepts for residential renovations, additions, and remodeling projects.
Collaborate with homeowners and our remodeling team to understand project goals, budgets, and design preferences.
Prepare floor plans, elevations, construction documents, and permit-ready drawings as needed.
Evaluate existing structures and recommend practical design solutions.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals throughout the design and construction process.
Provide design guidance that balances aesthetics, functionality, structural considerations, and cost.
Qualifications
Degree in Architecture or a related field.
Experience with residential remodeling, renovations, or additions.
Proficiency in architectural drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building codes.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
Ohio architectural licensure preferred, particularly for projects requiring sealed drawings.
